Aparna Ghose began her journey with Lux Channel i Superstar in 2006.

The National Film Award winner has been a popular name in the television, film and theatre fraternities for years.

In films like "Meghmallar", "Sutopar Thikana", and "Bhuban Majhi", she stood out for her earnest and acclaimed performances.

After "Gondi", the actor will be featured in the government-granted film, "Onteshtikria". The movie's shooting is currently underway. Aparna is also keeping busy with several television projects.

She is celebrating Durga Puja at her hometown, Chattogram.

"Due to the pandemic, we aren't celebrating in a grand way," shares the actor. "My parents have several health issues. So, we will not be risking anything."

She will avoid visiting the Puja pandal this year.

Aparna also added that she did not visit her hometown in the early months of the coronavirus outbreak, as a precautionary measure.

"Even though shooting is going in full swing, I have been extremely careful about my own safety," she says.

Looking back on her childhood memories of Puja, Aparna shared that she loved getting new dresses and shoes. "We hid them from our cousins and friends, until the time that we wore them," she adds.

"In our area,  people are discouraged from being in any gatherings after the evenings," says Aparna, on how the pandemic has impacted the celebrations this year."Other than the idol making, there are no special arrangements, as a safety precaution."

Aparna also stated that just as people celebrated the two Eids in a limited manner this year, other festivals can also be enjoyed, following health guidelines and on a limited scale.

"If we survive the pandemic successfully, we will be able to celebrate like the previous years soon," shares the actor.

Usually on Dashami, Aparna likes cooking for her family. "I am good at making khichuri and desserts," she says.

She was supposed to visit Kolkata for a film with Soumitra Chatterjee, however, due to his critical health condition, the project is indefinitely on hold.

Aparna wished everyone a happy Bijoya Dashami, and requested them to stay safe.
