Azadul Kabir Arzoo receives Indian Dada Saheb Phalke Award

Azadul Kabir Arzoo, Executive Director of the social organisation, Jagorani Chakra Foundation (JCF), recently received the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Film Foundation Award.

The award was handed over to him in a ceremony at New Mhada ground of Mumbai’s Swami Samarth Nagar.

Celebrated actor Gajendra Chauhan presented the award to Azadul Kabir, along with other recipients including music lyricist Harshdeep Kaur and artist Sunil Grover.

Azadul Kabir founded Jagorani Chakro Foundation in 1975 in collaboration with some youths in Jessore. He received the Primary and Mass Education Award for his contribution in the education sector, from the government in 1994. He also received the Azizur Rahman Patowary Award in 1991. Besides, in 2016, he received the International Mother Teresa Award for social activities.
