National Film Award-winning singer Baby Naznin tested positive for Covid-19, recently. She is undergoing treatment at Jersey City Medical Centre of New Jersey.
Alamgir Khan Alam, a cultural programme organiser in New York, confirmed the news. "I spoke to Naznin after she got her reports for Covid-19," he says. "She was suffering from kidney related complications for a long time, and she was admitted to the hospital on November 18, for her kidney treatment. Later, she was diagnosed with Covid-19."
Alamgir also said that the singer's condition is stable now. She has asked for prayers from everyone.
Naznin is also BNP's Assistant Secretary for International Affairs. She is currently residing in the United States.
Born in Nilphamari, she began her singing career in 1976.
