Singer Jan-E-Alam breathed his last today while being treated at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. He was 65.
He passed away at 10:00pm today. Head of Production Company CD Choice Jahirul Islam Sohel confirmed the matter to The Daily Star.
"He was treated for Covid-19 for a month. He also suffered from Pneumonia in the middle and when his condition deteriorated today, he was put under life support," Jahirul said.
His namaz-e-janaza took place around 10 am today, at Madhuban Madrasa Field in Dhaka. He will be laid to rest in his familial graveyard in Jatrapur village of Harirampur upazila in Manikganj, after Asr prayers.
