The Jatiya Oikyafront will announce its final list of candidates for the 11th parliamentary election scheduled for December 30.
The newly floated alliance, led by Gono Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain, will also formally unveil its election manifesto on December 17.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir made the announcement while talking to reporters after a meeting of the alliance’s election steering committee at Kamal Hossain’s Motijheel chamber this evening.
Responding to a query about postponement of the Oikyafront’s December 10 Dhaka rally, he said the programme was cancelled on political ground.
“We will hold the rally in the capital at the fag-end of the election campaign in favour of their alliance candidates,” he said.
Earlier, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced that Jatiya Oikyafront wants to hold a rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka on December 10 ahead of the 11th parliamentary elections.
