Md Tajdin Hassan, Head of Marketing at The Daily Star, received the YWN Marketing Excellence Award 2020 (by Asia Marketing Federation) under 'Asia's top outstanding youth marketer of the year' category.
Asia Marketing Federation (AMF) is the foremost governing body of marketing in the region whose member countries include Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. This award reflects the excellence of marketers in the admirable qualities of versatility, innovativeness, and infallible growth.
Throughout November 2020, the jury members selected the winners through a rigorous process. The physical awarding is expected to take place around February 2021 in Singapore. Tajdin has been featured in The Washington Post, Yahoo News, INMA, GXpress and other prestigious platforms.
His marketing initiatives got awarded over the last few years by the World Association of Newspapers & News Publishers based on audience engagement, social media engagement, community engagement, and so on.
He has also led the project 'Mission Save Bangladesh', a social platform that raised 200,000 dollars during the pandemic and helped more than 0.1 million people with daily groceries, and for that, he was recently awarded Joy Bangla Youth Awards 2020.
