    OPPO F11 PRO

OPPO has always been up-to-date with the latest smartphone design changes: Swivel camera? OPPO's got one. A Notch Selfie Camera? OPPO has it. Now the latest one in the market: Pop-up selfie camera. YES! OPPO has got that too. In today’s issue, we bring you the OPPO F11 Pro, the first smartphone with a motorised pop-out selfie camera from OPPO.

  • Vivo V15: Long term test of the notchless display phone

Vivo is starting to carve out a niche for itself as a flashy, affordable, colourful character in the world of black, glass slabs. The V15 has stand out features of a full notch-free display and a pop-up camera. It comes in a sparkling red gradient with microdots resembling stars. But can it be the star in this fiercely competitive market dominated by the likes of Xiaomi and Samsung’s A series?

  • Motorola Android One A few months later

It looks very 2019 what with the 2D glass front and back, slim aluminium frame and that all important notch helping fit more screen into a small body. Those rounded iPhone XR type dimensions and the small size are fantastic making it a quick grab in and out of tight pockets. The dual cameras are positioned vertically on one corner without much of an outward protrusion. Motorola was once king of design innovation with the RAZR and the Aura. This one while smart just seems to follow the trend.

  • Realme 2 Pro

Realme… indeed you read it right. What started as a spin-off brand of OPPO, Realme is now operating as an independent venture after its separation from OPPO back in July 2018. Targeting the youth, Realme has already created quite a fan-following in India and has now entered the local market.

    Symphony i95

A lion shares of Symphony's revenue come from feature phones and entry-level smartphones.

  • NOKIA 5.1 Plus Price in Bangladesh

    NOKIA 5.1 Plus

Since HMD Global took over Nokia back in 2016, we have been seeing a push from Nokia to enter the Asian market with an array of midrange phones. Nokia 5.1 Plus (which is also known as Nokia X5) is such a mid-range device that entered the local market quite a bit ago and we finally got our hands on it.

    Huawei Mate 20 Pro

Huawei's psychedelic hued flagship is a heavily specced out device that could make it the best smartphone of 2018. It has the fanciest

  • Huawei Nova 3i

Huawei's entry in the midrange market of Bangladesh was on the back of the widely acclaimed Y series and GR series. The Y series still caters to the entry-level midrange crowd now while Huawei launched another series to cater to the upper mid-range segment last year- the Nova series. It entered the market with a nova 2i and was an instant hit. Nearly a couple months back, Huawei introduced the latest gadget of nova series: nova 3i. We were able to test out the device for nearly a month.

  • OPPO F9

Oppo is taking style quite seriously. The F9 comes in three colours and none of them are subtle. This is a phone not suitable for spies, you cannot blend in with the crowd while calling in an airstrike. Red, blue and purple are your choices. Which is a good thing in an age of dull (or shiny) black rectangular glass blocks. Huawei did start off offering vivid, pattern-filled colours but Oppo here took it up to eleven.

  • Xiaomi Redmi S2

Xiaomi has proven itself as a maker of quality, budget devices that provide more bang for buck. The S2 aims at doing just that once

  • OPPO A3s

Not so long ago, we reviewed OPPO F7, the flagship device from the selfie king. This time we are back again with another budget smartphone from the oriental smartphone manufacturer: A3s. The phone is going to be officially unveiled today and will be available in the stores in a few days. We got this bad boy a couple weeks back to test it out. And this is our take on the OPPO A3s:

  • iPad 2018: Should you get it or not?

Apple launched the new iPad 2018 early this year. Question is, should you get it or not? Do you really need it especially for an upgrade?

  • Hand on review: Samsung Galaxy J6

The J6 for 2018 brings the most affordable 18.5:9 Infinity Display equipped phone from Samsung. What else does it offer?

  • Huawei Nova 3e

The Huawei Nova 3e is an exercise in how to make a mid-range play a similar game as the big players. It brings together some of the

  • Hands-on Review: OPPO F7

Remember the time, when Apple took a beating for having a 'notch' on the top of its display? Guess what, eight months later, now that's something every smartphone brand must to have. Not that we are complaining, just emphasising on the fact that Apple should take a bow for introducing such an unsavoury design and still pass it on as mind-boggling innovation. But enough about the notch for now. The phone that we are reviewing today is the F7, the latest entrant by the selfie-centric smartphone brand OPPO. The unit that we tested was 'Solar Red', the most sought out colour scheme on this device.

  • Hands-on Review: Samsung Galaxy S9+

It's a bigger, badder version of last year's must have, must sell kidney-for-a-phone. And if you sold a kidney last year, you are out of luck trying to purchase the new S9+. It is pricier.

  • Tecno Camon I

The sub 15,000 BDT smartphone segment has an ever-expanding list of capable contenders, but Tecno impressed us last year with their well-built 'i7', which had a decent set of hardware for the price you would be paying. This time around, their flagship comes paired with a smaller blow to the wallet, but with some small compromises to the spec sheet.

  • LG Q6 Smartphone Review

    LG Q6

Inspired by the success of LG G6, South Korean struggling electronic device manufacturer LG has come up with a smaller, sharper and wallet-friendly version of the flagship device. It also shares the same Suffix: Q6. All the aesthetical features that you loved on G6 is on this phone as well: the beautiful body to screen ratio, nearly bezel-less design and metallic-feel on the back cover. But, what more does the phone has to offer?

  • OPPO F5: The return of the selfie expert

Going bezel-less or near to the edge is the latest trend amongst phone designers after several top dogs launched their edge to edge display phones. Riding that very wave, OPPO has brought a new device nearly a month ago – The OPPO F5. OPPO, which has synonymised itself as the 'Selfie-Expert', through this device wants to continue to target the selfie-lover segment. But how good is the latest iteration of the F series? Let’s find out:

  • ZED All-in-one PC

I have been eyeing an old-school PC tower over an All-in-One (AIO) PC for several months now. While inquiring for an AIO at IDB Bhaban, I first stumbled upon the brand I-Life for the very first time. And coincidentally, the very next month I-Life's country representative got in touch with us to review their very first AIO PC for the Bangladeshi market. We used and abused it for nearly a month and this is what we found out:

  • Huawei Nova 2i - Four camera lenses on a smartphone

The Huawei Nova 2i is a brand new midrange phone sporting a world first for smartphones: it uniquely features dual lenses for both front and rear. These days, manufacturers are telling us if anyone is not doing dual lenses, they are probably not doing it right.

The world isn't getting any bigger but everything inside is. We test the latest flagship from Samsung. Does it deliver all the goods?

  • Walton Passion WP15703G Laptop

Finally, after using and abusing without mercy, I am writing the review of Walton's Passion WP157U3G laptop. Me and my colleague, both used it for a month or so. I focused on the aesthetics whereas he tested the performance by pushing the laptop to its limit. This is my first encounter with this locally assembled gizmo and here's my take:

  • FiiO X1 2nd Gen

While the majority of people would say that digital audio players (DAPs) are a thing of the past, companies like XDuoo and FiiO have

  • Samsung Galaxy J7 Max

Almost eight months back, we reviewed a mid-range smartphone of Samsung – the J7 Prime. Faring pretty well in the market, it became one of the best sellers of Samsung this year. Inspired by this success, Samsung brought out several other variants of J7. The one we are reviewing today is J7 Max, a hulked up version of J7 Prime.

  • TECNO i7

Another Hong Kong based Chinese mobile phone manufacturer that started off in 2006 & belonging to the Transsion holdings. For those who doesn’t know Transsion Holdings, they also own the Itel and Infinix brands latter of which we've reviewed previously. They started their journey formally in Bangladesh last month with the brand Tecno although Itel was operating before that. Transsion Holdings brand Tecno has been initially focusing exclusively on Africa and only recently made a foray into the Indian market with a barrage of new devices.
