Police officer’s son missing for 4 days

Thirteen-year-old Aronno, son of a police sub-inspector, has been missing for the last four days after he went out of his Bashabo residence.

Mazharul Islam Aronno, a seventh grader at Motijheel Model School and College, is the son of SI Abdul Motalib Bhuiyan of Police Bureau of Investigation.

A general diary was filed with Sabujbagh Police Station on Sunday (January 19), a day after he went missing.

Aronno went out of their house around 10:00am to play with his friends at the nearby Balurmath playfield but did not return, his father told The Daily Star.

The family said they searched everywhere, from police stations to hospitals, but found no sign of him.

Motalib also claimed that despite being a part of the law enforcement agency, he does not have many enemies and is cordial with most people.

“I am clueless as to what could have happened to my son,” he added.

Further details of the incident are not known yet.
