1st convocation of JnU to be held Jan 11 next year

The first convocation of Jagannath University (JnU) will be held on January 11 in 2020.

“The convocation will be held at JnU’s Dhupkhola Ground on January 11 next year. The authorities have received a letter in this regard,” JnU Registrar Md Ohiduzzaman told The Daily Star today.

“The chancellor of the university will chair the convocation,” he said.

“A total of 18,284 certificate holders completed registration for the convocation,” the JnU registrar added.

The then Jagannath College was turned into a university in 2005. University officials claimed that any convocation could not be held previously due to lack of space and other logistical restrictions.

The online registration for the convocation began on March 1 and ended on May 15.
