BRTA will work at Dhaka bus stations for smooth Eid journey

Three committees of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) will remain vigilant in three key bus stations of Dhaka from May 30 to June 4 for a hassle-free journey of Eid-ul-Fitr holidaymakers.

Three additional deputy commissioners will lead the teams at Gabtoli, Mohakhali and Sayedabad bus terminals in the capital, BRTA Chairman Mashiur Rahman said at a meeting this afternoon.

Work of these three teams will be monitored by a monitoring team, which will be led by an additional deputy commissioner, he said.

The committee members will remain alert to prevent plying of non-fit buses and overloading of buses and ensure safe journey for the home-goers during Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of Muslims.
