Tabligh Jamaat asks followers to return home

Tabligh Jamaat Bangladesh yesterday urged its followers, who are now in different congregations (preaching tours/spending days at mosques), to return home from their respective tours.

In a statement signed by Ahlea Shura Prof Yusuf Shikder, the Tabligh Jamaat said, "Considering the notice of the religious affairs ministry issued on Monday, those who are now in 'tin chilla' (continuous 120 days in tour); 'ek chilla' (40 days) or in any jamaat are requested to return to their respective residences."

"If necessary, seek cooperation from the administrations in this regard," the statement said.

Followers are asked to offer prayers at home and seek the welfare of the Muslim ummah and entire mankind during the ongoing crisis.
