A group of 33 writers, university teachers, and online and political activists on Saturday expressed their concern about blocking popular blogging site somewhereinblog.net in a statement.
They said, from the very beginning, somewhereinblog has been trying to uphold the values of the Liberation War. Now they are speechless, and concerned about this move.
On February 17, Bangladesh Telecommu-nication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) shared a list of porn and betting sites with international internet gateway operators to block, and it is very painful to learn that somewhereinblog's name was also included on that list, read the statement.
However, BTRC has denied the allegation and said their list of blocked sites did not include anything other than porn and betting sites.
