20 police officials promoted to additional DIGs

The government has promoted 20 police officials to the rank of additional deputy inspector general of police in the latest reshuffle of the police administration.

Public Security Division of the Home Ministry today issued a gazette notification in this regard.

The newly promoted police officials have been attached to the Police Headquarters, according to the gazette notification.

The officials are: Md Habibur Rahman, additional DIG of River Police unit, Dhaka; Tanvir Haider Chowdhury,  deputy police commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police; SM Fazlur Rahman, deputy police commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police; Md Kamrul Ahsan, assistant inspector general of police, Police Headquarters; Proloy Chisim, superintendent of police (SP), Special Branch, Bangladesh Police, Dhaka; SM Ainul Bari, SP, Special Branch, Bangladesh Police, Dhaka; Habibur Rahman Khan, deputy police commissioner, Barishal Metropolitan Police; Md Abul Kalam Azad, SP, Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), Dhaka; Md Iqbal Hossain, SP of Naogaon district; Md Golam Rauf Khan, SP, Industrial Police Unit, Dhaka; Md Shafiqul Islam, SP, T&IM, Bangladesh Police, Dhaka; Shamima Begum, assistant inspector general of police, Police HQ; Salma Begum, assistant inspector general of police, Dhaka Metropolitan Police; Miraz Uddin Ahmmed, deputy police commissioner, DMP; AKM Ehsan Ullah, SP, River Police unit, Dhaka; Shah Mizan Shafiur Rahman, SP of Dhaka district; Mohammad Tobarak Ullah, SP, T&IM, Bangladesh Police, Dhaka; Molla Nazrul Islam, SP, Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Bangladesh Police, Dhaka; SM Mostaq Ahmed Khan, deputy police commissioner, DMP; and Jihadul Kabir, SP of Chandpur district.
