A Bangladeshi national was shot dead by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Adatala border point in Sapahar upazila of Naogaon early Saturday.

The deceased Joynal Abedin, 40, a cattle trader by profession is son of Sohrab Hossain, a resident of South Patari village of the upazila.
Witness said BSF members from Rangamati camp opened fire at a group of Bangladeshi cattle traders, including Joynal, while they were returning home from India with cattle around 5:30am, leaving Joynal dead on the spot.
