CNG stations to stay closed 5pm-11pm during Ramadan

CNG filling stations across the country will stay closed for six hours from 5:00pm to 11:00pm daily during the month of Ramadan.

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid announced it while briefing media at Bidyut Bhaban at Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue in Dhaka this afternoon, BSS reports.

He said that the government has taken the decision for smooth operation of power plants.

‘Power supply to be normal by Saturday’

The state minister said the power disruption in the country will return to normalcy, to some extent, within Saturday, the state run news agency added.

"It's an unexpected disruption of power supply due to the collapse of Ashuganj-Sirajganj tower," he told reporters.
