Madrasa teacher held for raping 12 students

Rab says

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) today arrested a madrasa teacher from Fatullah area of Narayanganj in connection with rape of at least 12 of his female students, Rab said.

The arrestee Al Amin, 45, is founding director and principal of Baitul Huda Cadet Madrasa and also the imam of a local mosque, our local correspondent reports.

The members of the elite force arrested Al Amin from the madrasa around 11:00 am and seized his mobile phone and laptop, said Apel Uddin, senior assistant director of Rab-11.

Earlier, Rab conducted an investigation following a complaint and came to know that Al Amin has been sexually harassing at least 12 female students of the madrasa since 2018, the Rab official said.

The elite force also recovered some porn video clips from his mobile phone and laptop, the Rab official said.

During primary interrogation, Al Amin confessed his crime, he also said adding that the process to lodge a case against him is underway.
