Boy held for selling fake SSC question papers

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) detained a teenager from Dhaturpohela village under Akhaura upazila of the district yesterday for his alleged involvement in selling fake question papers of the ongoing SSC examinations.

The detainee, Sohag Mia, 15, son of Monir Mia of Shibnagar village of the upazila, is a Class IX student of Devgram Pilot High School in Akhaura municipality, Chandan Debnath, senior assistant director of Rab-14 at Bhairab Camp, told newsmen at Brahmanbaria Press Club at 3:00pm.

"Sohag admitted that he had purchased question papers when he was a JSC examinee last year and afterwards himself became involved with the cheat gang,” he said.

“He was selling fake SSC question papers to candidates at Dhaturpohela when Rab members nabbed him by using technology. A case against him has been filed with Akhaura Police Station under ICT Act,” said the Rab official.
