Land and settlement officials in presence of cross sections of people yesterday vowed to ensure corruption and hassle-free services to common people.
Secretary of Land Ministry Md Maksudur Rahman Patwary administered the oath as chief guest at the concluding session of a workshop on ‘Fairness regarding transparent, skilled and people-friendly land management’ held at Thakurgaon Zila Parishad Auditorium.
Speakers at the programme urged the land and settlement officials to ensure land related services without hassle or bribery.
“The government officials are paid handsome salary that comes from people’s money. And so, people deserve good treatment and smooth service. The land ministry is working to establish digital services at all levels so that people can get land documents easily,” the chief guest said.
Among others, Zila Parishad Chairman Sadek Quraishi, also general secretary of district Awami League, and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Md Aminul Islam spoke at the programme presided over by Thakurgaon Deputy Commissioner KM Kamruzzaman Selim.
