Splendid summer nights

In an anticipation to make our summer nights colourful, we can try putting on deshi wear in comfortable fabrics, namely cotton and Muslin. At least that is what designer Rima Naz suggests, in order to beat the heat of summer. “My most recent collection had been at the TRESemmé Bangladesh Fashion Week 2020. This year, I chose local jewellery as motif inspiration, like jhumka, golap bala, kan pasha, etc. I tried incorporating authentic motifs into the final design layout as a tribute to our jewellery artisans and their amazing creations,” said the designer.

And right she was. Flamingo pink saris with the unique motifs imprinted on them and black anarkalis with the deshi jewellery prints only made the designs stand out.

So, this summer, if you were looking for an authentic look, with a blunt touch of the local flavours, then Naz's latest collection is definitely one of the finest choices you can make.

Rima Naz has always been popular for creating collections that are unique, different and yet, up-to-the-minute trendy. Her collection has always given a vibe of a mix between the west and east. In her latest collection for the summer, she portrays the same. While there are designs with unique cuts signifying a touch of fusion, there are also motifs and fabrics that signify the importance of the native.

"In my TRESemmé 2020 Collection, I had mainly focused on gorgeous night wear because I wanted to build a collection that was striking and allowed a lot of details," said Naz.

And the collection is exactly as mentioned, with gorgeous colours like olive green, magenta, ivory, and black taking precedence — the final collection is nothing but exclusivity that shines bright through the night.
