Association of Fashion Designers of Bangladesh (AFDB) and SME Foundation proudly presents Heritage Handloom Festival – 2018, to be held for the first time in Bangladesh from 4 to 6 October. The three-day event is aimed at preserving and promoting traditional handloom by featuring the creative work of top designers and exclusive products of weavers and artisans from remote areas of Bangladesh. The exhibition will be inaugurated by the Finance Minister, A M A Muhith and Minister for Cultural Affairs, Asaduzzaman Noor. In a seamless blend of artistic creativity from diverse cultures and traditions, the exhibition will have over 30 stalls displaying unique products made from seven heritage products: Jamdani, Nakshi Kantha, Mirpur Benarasi, Tangail Taant, Sirajganj Taant (Lungi, Gamcha, Saris), Rangamati Handloom and Monipuri Handloom. Weavers from these seven sectors have been trained and mentored jointly by AFDB, SMEF and prominent artist Kanak Chapa Chakma.

Waterness is the first ever dance theatre in Bangladesh that has achieved enormous response from local and international audience. For the very first time, they are going to stage this grand production at the biggest open air theatre of Bangladesh.

Come gather around, bring your guitars, poetry books, and short stories as the mic is open for you to play, dance, or throw in some funny lines. Please bring your own instruments.  Entry is Tk100. Heavily influenced by the grunge/alternative movement of the 90's, it is time to visit the heavier side of Indalo's personality with Alice in Chains. They will be performing Alice in Chains covers and Indalo originals in two separate sessions with a break in between. Each session will be about an hour and a half. Gate opens at 3:30PM. Ticket price is Tk400.

You are invited to join the star talk with Jaya Ahsan and Chanchal Chowdhury in untying the knots of Debi's mystery.
