Brazil legend Pele has said that he believes it is finally Liverpool's year to lift the Premier League title.
As far as endorsements go, getting one from arguably the greatest footballer of all time isn't a bad one and that's exactly what Liverpool have got as they look forward to the start of the new Premier League season.
Brazilian legend Pele took to social media to tip Liverpool to win the Premier League title and give his backing to a couple of his fellow countrymen.
"It's the start of the @PremierLeague today. Who do you think will win? I think it's the year of Liverpool, Alisson and Firmino!" Pele tweeted yesterday.
The business that Liverpool did in the summer, bringing in Alisson, Fabinho, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri, has given the squad some much-needed strength in depth and although Manchester City are still huge favourites, the Reds have made strides to ensure that they too can fight for the title.
The Reds get their season underway against West Ham at Anfield on Sunday afternoon, and they’ll be looking for a repeat of the performance against the Hammers in the last campaign, where they ran out as 4-1 winners.
