BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia today alleged that the ruling Awami League government is cooking all necessary recipes to cling to power forever.
Addressing at the May Day programme of the Sramik Dal, BNP’s affiliate workers’ body, she alleged that the recent laws enacted is one such ploy of the Awami League.
“The Awami League has embezzled Tk 30,000 crore during their seven years of rule. It has all been siphoned outside the country,” she alleged.
Lambasting the government as a “total failure,” Khaleda said her party will not allow another general election under the Awami League.
“There can be no election under this useless and backbone-less government. We will not allow another general election under this government,” she said.
The BNP chief was addressing at the programme that was being held at Dhaka’s Suhrawardy Udyan. Several top BNP leaders were accompanying her in the programme.
