BUBT holds orientation ceremony for Fall 2019 students

Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) organised an orientation ceremony in different sessions for the newly admitted undergraduate students of Fall semester 2019 on November 5-6, 2019 at the International Conference Hall of the university campus, Rupnagar, Mirpur 2, Dhaka.

Prof. Md. Abu Saleh, VC, BUBT advised students as the chair. He suggested students to get involved in extra-curricular activities for better career.

Members of BUBT Trust, Treasurer, Deans of all Faculties, Research Director, Advisor, Student’s Affairs, Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Joint Registrar, Joint Director (AC), Proctor, Chairmen of all Departments, officials, faculty members and students of BBA, CSE, Economics, EEE, English, Law & Justice, and Textile were present in the ceremony.

 

PHIS organises annual interschool football tournament

Pledge Harbor International School (PHIS) recently concluded its fifth annual interschool football tournament – PHIFT 2019 – at its campus in Mawna, Gazipur. The programme was inaugurated by the State Minister for Sports and Youth Minister Zahid Ahsan Russell MP as the chief guest and special guest David Hasanat, Chairman and CEO, Viyellatex Group. Kaniz Zareen, Head of School, was also present.

The chief guest spoke on the occasion and emphasised on the role of sports in shaping a child’s personality. This year PHIS hosted 37 teams from 28 schools.

Scholastica clinched the U-19 title. The PHIS Panthers emerged as U-14 champs.

The Pledge Harbor girls’ team beat Singapore International School 2-0 to become champions of the first ever girls’ tournament.

UIU holds English Medium Math Olympiad

The final round and prize-giving ceremony of the 8th English Medium Math Olympiad 2019 was held at United International University (UIU) on November 8, 2019. Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni MP was present as the chief guest. A total of 120 students from Class 1 to A Level were awarded.

The chief guest said that a shortage of education cannot be bridged with anything else. Prof. Dr. Chowdhury Mofizur Rahman, VC, UIU was present as the special guest; Chairperson Sarwat Jeb of Academia, and its Managing Director Md. Kutub Uddin was also present among others.
