DIU Chairman presents keynote at Sustainable Education Meeting 2019

Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Founder and Chairman of Daffodil International University (DIU) and Daffodil Family presented his keynote speech at Sustainable Education Meeting 2019 (SEM2019). SEM 2019 took place during the United Nations General Assembly opening week in New York City on September 25-27, 2019. Dr. Khan made his presentation on “The Development of Education in Bangladesh and the Role of International Financial Entities: The Asian Context”.

 Dr. Khan addressed different areas like development of higher education, in regards to global phenomena and Bangladesh and shared the case of DIU, where sustainable growth and success stories were depicted. The presentation told various topics, especially management of higher education, different acts and public policies, role of University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, diverse initiatives of private universities, higher education projects, quality education (IQAC) domain, continued growth and achievements of DIU and its internationalization. Apart from these the presentation also rotates around several initiatives of DIU like introducing student portal, One Student One Laptop, 1-card solution, lots of entrepreneurial activities and international initiatives, DIU research and publications on entrepreneurship, Daffodil Institute of Social Sciences, Entrepreneurship Development, Fund (EDF), DIU online forum, amenities provided for the development of students and faculty members and DIU blended learning center, in his presentation.
