Shooting for the film Gangchil starring Ferdous has started. The film is based on a novel by the General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Obaidul Quader. The project is being directed by Noim Imtiaz Neyamul, Maruf Rehman and Priyo Chattopadhyay have written the screenplay for this film. Starring alongside Ferdous is Purnima, who will be playing the role of an NGO worker, while Ferdous will be seen as a journalist. The story is based around people living in point-bars. The director, Noim Imtiaz Neyamul said, “The shooting for the project will conclude towards the end of March. I hope that we will be able to release this film at the middle of this year.” While shooting the film, both Ferdous and Purnima got into a bike injury, escaping with only minor injuries.
