Pori Moni, also known as the “Dana Kata Pori” of the industry, has won many hearts with her fairy-like aura. Starting her career with modelling, she stepped into the limelight of the silver screen with ‘Valobasha Simahin’ in 2015. Her career then witnessed many ups and downs, but her determination never faded away. Her performance in ‘Swapnajaal’ was critically acclaimed. In a candid interview with Star Showbiz, Pori talks about all the secrets behind her natural beauty.

Skin care

There is no such thing as a routine skin care on Pori Moni's everyday schedule. The idea of taking extra care of her skin fascinates her, but laziness draws her back. Being a part of the glamour industry, she appears flawless on-screen by the virtue of makeup, but she prefers herself to look natural on her normal days. Once her work is done, she wants to come out of those thick layers as early as possible. She uses olive oil to wipe her face clean from the heavy foundation on her skin during shoots. Moisturiser is an everyday essential for her, be it after removing all the makeup, or before going to bed. Hydrating her skin at regular intervals is a must for her and she prefers using a medicated moisturizer named Derma, suggested by her dermatologist, for soft and smooth skin. Pori has always preferred natural ingredients over chemical-based products. She uses neem and turmeric pastes once in a while as they have antibacterial properties. However, due to her busy schedule, she cannot do it regularly. To compensate for all the torture her skin goes through, she undergoes skin treatment at the salon once or twice a month.

Hair care

An interesting fact about Pori is that she preferred using Vatika oil, even before her appearance on screen. After becoming the face of Vatika, she realised that it was the best for her hair type. She has no specific Shampoo brand, only interchanges among various brands every now and then. Due to excessive styling, her hair became rough and dull over time. Taking proper care at home is impossible, due to lack of time and expertise. So, she undergoes hair treatment at a salon once or twice every month, to keep her hair shiny and healthy.

Make Up

Makeup meant MAC for her from the very beginning, but on-screen and off-screen makeup have many differences. She uses other brands like Derma when appearing on-screen. On regular days, from her foundation to her contour kit, she prefers going all MAC. In case of eye shadow, the colour and pigment differs over brands, but MAC is never off the table.  For parties, whenever she needs to accentuate her looks, she applies highlighter on her face. Her favorite brand of lipstick is Huda Beauty.

Regular Wear

From 1 to 10, her attire comprises of Sarees only. She even adorns them at home sometimes. She also wears comfy cotton Salwar Kamees and western clothes on her regular days; white, blue and green ones being her favorite. At home, she prefers wearing loose Tee's and soft trousers.

Party wear

Salwar kameez does not fit her choice of party wear. She prefers wearing gowns or Sarees, depending on her time and theme of the party. She loves accessorizing her look with branded watches and trendy shoes, as per the ambience.
