Be Careful of 'The Accidental Prime Minister'

The veteran actor Anupam Kher, who plays the role of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in The Accidental Prime Minister, says that this is going to be the most difficult film of his career. Since Dr Manmohan Singh is a very notable individual and people know him for a long time, Kher has to internalize the character to get every nuance right. The film is based on the book of the same name, authored by Sanjay Baru, who served as the media advisor of Manmohan Singh from 2004-2008. Kher will be approaching the character from an actor's point of view. The film will be made in both English and Hindi by debutant Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and will be produced by Bohra Brothers. Since Kher has been vocal about various issues on social media, people repeatedly ask him to join politics. Dismissing the idea, Kher states that he does not want to join politics at the moment. “If that ever happens I will scream from rooftops as I would need people,” said the actor, “Currently, the idea is to say NO to joining politics!”
