After being on a hiatus from Bollywood for two years, John Abraham is back with a brand new film, which he has taken the task to co-produce as well. Titled Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, the film is set in the year 1998 and revolves around the nuclear bomb tests conducted by the Indian Army in Pokhran during that time. The Pokhran nuclear testing holds significance in the military history of India, and eventually led to India being named as a nuclear state. John Abraham, feeling he could portray the story of Pokhran in an engaging manner, undertook the challenge in starring at this rather unique approach to a Bollywood movie. While initially delayed release due to clashes with Padmaavat, it was confirmed that Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran will be released next week, on 25 May. After an exciting trailer released last week, fans are in constant anticipation for the return of John Abraham.
