The Argentine has now scored five hat tricks in the Premier League – and the only player outside of Europe who has more is the former Liverpool man.
Sergio Aguero fired Manchester City past Chelsea with a sublime hat trick at Stamford Bridge.
The Argentine opened the scoring with a deflected strike in the first half, while he added his second after rounding off a swift counterattacking move nine minutes after the break.
Aguero capped his impressive display with his third from the penalty spot which takes his tally to 21 in the Premier League – one behind Harry Kane who leads the league scoring charts.
It was the fifth hat trick of Aguero’s Premier League career, and he still needs six more to pull level with Alan Shearer.
But in terms of players from outside of Europe, only Luis Suarez has scored more hat tricks (six) than the Manchester City star.
