Test cricket hasn't really worked out for Bangladesh in the recent times. Tigers have managed to avoid an innings defeat only once in their last six matches. The only time the Tigers were able to avoid a defeat by an innings and more during this period was when they were thumped by 224 runs by rookie Afghans in September last year.
Even though the Afghanistan defeat came as a shock, Bangladesh as a whole are trying to pick themselves up from a "Bad Patch" as described by the Bangladesh captain Mominul Haque. Coach Russell Domingo talked about the Test match scheduling and trying to develop a new Test culture. May be that would be the way to turn things around for Bangladesh in the longest format.
On February 22, day after the International Language Day can a group of lads from Bangladesh turn things around the way just like they did in 1952 but only difference will be that this time it is for Test cricket.
Day 1 of The Big TEST begins tomorrow!
