Former India batsman Yuvraj Singh reminded Shoaib Akhtar of how he used to act after hitting a batsman after the former Pakistan speedster criticised Jofra Archer.
During a lightning quick spell of fast bowling, Archer hit Australia’s Steve Smith twice, once on the forearm and then the back of the neck during the fourth day of the second Ashes Test which eventually ended in a draw.
Shoaib said that ‘whenever a bowler hits a batsman on the head and he falls, courtesy requires that the bowler must go & check on him’.
Yuvraj, who had the experience of facing the Rawalpindi Express on numerous occasions, admitted that Shoaib did walk up to the batsman but his words were pretty sharp.
Yuvraj wrote in response to Akhtar’s tweet, “Yes you did! But your actual words were hope you’re alright mate because there are a few more coming.”
Smith was later ruled out of the second Test following concussion and is doubtful for the third Test.
