Malhar, an ancient raga in Indian classical music, is associated with the atmosphere of torrential rains during the monsoon.
According to legend, Raga Malhar is so powerful that it can soothe the nature by evoking rainfall.
This year, The Indian High Commission in Dhaka organised Raga Malhar performances for two evenings at the Jatiya Shilpakala Academy auditorium to celebrate the monsoon.
Classical musicians of India and Bangladesh performed during the two-day programme.
