CMP using drones to ensure social distancing

The Kotwali police station of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) has taken an exceptional initiative to ensure social distancing for preventing the spread of Covid-19.

Since people are reluctant towards maintaining social distance, CMP, for the first time in the country, has started using drones to monitor unnecessary gatherings in the neighbourhoods and alleys.

Kotwali Police Station OC Mohammad Mohsin said legal action would be taken against the culprits after reviewing the pictures and footage obtained from the drones.

The drones were flown experimentally in Jamalkhan, Kazir Deuri, Battery Alley, Patharghata, and Alkaran areas of Kotwali police station.
