Line E Ashun is a collection of short stories written by Topu Rahman, under the pen name, Chorom Udash. The book, published by Pendulum Prokashoni, hit the stalls in this year's Ekushey Boi Mela.
The writer is a blogger. "When I started writing satire, I felt like things need to be shown in a sugar quoted humorous way. If you want, you can probably find humour in the darkest places. To find that, you have to be a little indifferent, a little 'udash'. That's where the name Udash came from," explained the writer.
Line e Ashun, features a total of 44 satirical short stories. We all grow up in a certain system since childhood. Subsequently, there are many informal rules and regulations we are expected to follow. "The stories are mainly about going out of the line and questioning the system with a twist of humour," shared the author.
The writer's blogging journey started with the site, Sachalayatan. After completing his Bachelor's from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Topu moved to the USA to complete his Master's and PhD. Currently residing in Texas, the engineer continues writing on political and social issues.
Line e Ashun is available at Pendulum (pavilion 271) at BDT 225 after discount at the Ekushey Boi Mela.
