Three alleged drug peddlers, including a Rohingya woman, were killed in “gunfights” with police and Border Guard Bangladesh in Teknaf upazila early yesterday.
The world has failed to protect the Rohingya women, UN Women Executive Director Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka says.
“I think their [Myanmar] government to begin with. Their country has failed them in a massive way,” she said.
Amnesty International said Bangladeshi migrants and persecuted Rohingya fleeing Myanmar faced "hellish" conditions on trafficking boats.
