Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today extended “best wishes” to his Pakistan counterpart Nawaz Sharif who will undergo an open-heart surgery.
Nawaz Sharif’s surgery is expected to be held in United Kingdom next Tuesday, Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif had said yesterday.
"My best wishes to PM Nawaz Sharif Sahab for his open heart surgery on Tuesday. And for his speedy recovery & good health," Modi tweeted.
Asif, also a confidante of 66-year-old Sharif, had said doctors have advised the prime minister to undergo an open-heart surgery, following which he will be staying in the hospital for a week.
