Check out Shakib’s menacing “Shikari” look

Shakib Khan has been in the film industry for a while now, and has made a reputation of delivering sure-shot hits. However, the actor has not gone through a drastic change of looks in the past years, playing the quintessential Dhallywood hero. But cometh this Eid, fans can expect the unexpected from the ‘No.1’ star of Dhallywood films, as promised by the second teaser poster of his upcoming film “Shikari”.

The film’s production house Jaaz Multimedia posted a teaser poster on their Facebook page on Sunday, featuring a close headshot of an almost-unrecognisable Shakib. From the intense glare to the stubble and the leather jacket and the gangster-like wrist and neck accessories, the actor looks downright menacing, against a metallic, grungy background.

Joydeep Mukherjee and Zakir Hossain Simanto are jointly directing the film, with Kolkata’s Srabanti Chatterjee set to star opposite Shakib. Not much else is known about the film, as the previous teaser poster, shared last month, also featured Shakib Khan in the same look and costume, from a different angle.

Jaaz has been busy with a number of projects running simultaneously. Their joint production with Kolkata’s Eskay Movies, titled “Badsha – the Don” starring Jeet Ganguly and Nusraat Faria, is also set to release this Eid, while Arifin Shuvo and Jolly-starrer “Niyoti” is also in the works, with two songs released in the span of four days this month. “Hai Allah” was unveiled on their YouTube channel on Thursday, while a remake of the classic “Onek Sadhona’r Pore” will be launched later tonight.
