Thirty-two people have died from Covid-19 during 24 hours (till 8am today), according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
With this the total number of deaths reached 12,181 and death rate stands at 1.56 percent.
At least 698 new infections were recorded in the meantime taking the total number of people infected to 7,80,857, added the release.
The current positivity rate is 6.75 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.66 percent.
A total of 10,347 samples were tested across the country in 24 hours (till 8am today).
At least 1,058 Covid-19 patients have recovered during the period.
The total number of recoveries now stands at 7,23,094 and the recovery rate at 92.60 percent.
Among the 32 deceased, 23 were men and nine women while one was between 21-30 years old, three within 31-40, four between 41-50, seven within 51-60 and 17 were above 60 years old, added the release.
