Combined recruitment test -- for the post of senior officer -- of seven banks and financial institutions has been postponed.
The Bankers' Selection Committee (BSC) took the decision today due to the emerging situation in the country, said Arif Hossain Khan, a general manager of Bangladesh Bank and member secretary of the BSC.
The test was scheduled to be held at 67 centres in the capital on December 5.
The seven banks and financial institutions are: Sonali Bank Limited, Janata Bank Limited, Rupali Bank Limited, Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank, Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation, Investment Corporation Bangladesh and Karmasangsthan Bank.
"We took all preparations for holding the recruitment test. But we had to postpone it due to the prevailing situation," Arif Hossain Khan, told The Daily Star.
New date for the recruitment test will be informed later, he added.
A total of 1,40,155 candidates were scheduled to appear for the recruitment test against 771 posts in the seven banks and financial institutions on December 5.
