Bartra denies 'wrong information' about testimony

Replies to The Daily Star twitter post

Spanish defender Marc Bartra has refuted claims that he has not yet overcome the attack on the Borussia Dortmund bus seven months ago.

On January 29, Bartra responded to an article shared on The Daily Star's Twitter page about his testimony on the day of the trial of Sergei Wenergold, who admitted to remotely setting off three explosions in an elaborate bid to make a fortune on the stock market on April 11, 2017.

Alongside the article run by The Daily Star, Bartra wrote: "The article is not correct, I didn't say that."

It was not an original Star report but, as the byline shows, an AFP story printed under The Daily Star’s banner that Bartra replied to.

The portion of the story that he apparently objected to is of the quotes attributed to him in the AFP report, namely that he has not yet overcome the attack and that it is negatively affecting him to this day.

Earlier on January 29, he explained his grievances in another tweet directed at all media.

"I still haven't fully got over the attack and continue to suffer," the AFP report, reprinted on The Daily Star's website, attributed this to a written statement read at the hearing in Dortmund.
