The Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team are through to the final of the U-19 Asia Cup, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) confirmed in a tweet yesterday.
Bangladesh were scheduled to play against Afghanistan in a semifinal today, but the match was delayed before eventually being called off due to inclement weather. As there are no reserve days for the tournament, Bangladesh have gone through to the next round. The other semifinal, between India and Sri Lanka, was also called off. India advanced to the final and will take on Bangladesh on Saturday.
"Unfortunately, the semi-final game between Afghanistan(U19) and Bangladesh(U19) at Moratuwa has been abandoned due to we ground conditions. Bangladesh (U19) are through to the finals," tweeted the ACC.
Bangladesh and India had finished as champions of their respective groups.
